Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced that he has named four individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President has named Jonathan Horn to be Special Assistant to the President for Speechwriting. Mr. Horn recently served as a Speechwriter in the Office of Speechwriting at the White House. He received his bachelor's degree from Yale University.

The President has named Jeffrey Lungren to be Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Mr. Lungren recently served as Deputy Assistant to the Vice President for Legislative Affairs. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.

The President has named Justin J. McCarthy to be Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Mr. McCarthy recently served as Assistant United States Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs. He received his bachelor's degree from Stonehill College.

The President has named Richard Reed to be Special Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Senior Director for Continuity Policy. Mr. Reed recently served as Chief Emergency Response and Recovery Officer at the United States General Services Administration. He received his bachelor's degrees from Purdue University and Indiana University and his master's degree from Indiana University.
