Statement by the Press Secretary
On Sunday, September 30, 2007, the President signed into law:
H.R. 3625, which makes permanent the authority of the Secretary of Education to waive or modify Federal student financial assistance program requirements to assist individuals or academic institutions affected by a war, other military operation, or national emergency.
