Personnel Announcement

The President announced his intention to nominate two people to serve in his Administration:

The President intends to nominate Anthony W. Ryan, of Massachusetts, to be Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (Financial Markets). Mr. Ryan currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury. Prior to this, he served as a Partner at Grantham, Mayo, van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO). Earlier in his career, he served as a Principal at State Street Corporation. Mr. Ryan received his bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester and his master's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

The President intends to nominate Leon R. Sequeira, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary of Labor (Policy). Mr. Sequeira currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor. Prior to this, he served as Legal Counsel in the office of United States Senator Mitch McConnell. Earlier in his career, he served as Counsel of the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration. Mr. Sequeira received his bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State University and his JD from George Washington University Law School.
