Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate nine individuals and designate two individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to designate Sylvester J. Schieber, of Maryland, to be Chairman of the Social Security Advisory Board for the remainder of a four year term expiring January 21, 2009.

The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be Members of the Social Security Advisory Board:

Mark J. Warshawsky, of Maryland, for the remainder of a six year term expiring September 30, 2012.

Dana K. Bilyeu, of Nevada, for the remainder of a six year term expiring September 30, 2010.

The President intends to designate Jack Vaughn, of Texas, to be Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Foundation.

The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be Members of the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Foundation:

Kay Kelley Arnold, of Arkansas (Public Representative), for the remainder of a six year term expiring October 6, 2010.

Gary C. Bryner, of Utah (Public Representative), for the remainder of a six year term expiring June 26, 2008.

Thomas Joseph Dodd, of the District of Columbia (Public Representative), for an additional six year term expiring September 12, 2012.

Hector E. Morales, of Texas (Government Representative), for the remainder of a six year term expiring September 20, 2010.

John P. Salazar, of New Mexico (Public Representative), for a six year term expiring September 20, 2012.

Thomas A. Shannon, Jr., of Virginia (Government Representative), for a six year term expiring September 20, 2012.

Jack Vaughn, of Texas (Public Representative), for a six year term expiring September 20, 2012.
