Statement on H.J.Res 47 and S. 1578

On Monday, March 20, 2006, the President signed into law:

H.J.Res. 47, which increases the public debt limit from $8.184 trillion to $8.965 trillion; and

S. 1578, the "Upper Colorado and San Juan River Basin Endangered Fish Recovery Programs Reauthorization Act of 2005," which reauthorizes the Upper Colorado and San Juan River Basin endangered fish recovery implementation programs.
