President Signs S. 1777, Extends Disaster Unemployment Benefits

     Fact sheet In Focus: Hurricane Recovery

On Monday, March 6, 2006, the President signed into law:

S. 1777, which extends from 26 weeks to 39 weeks the period during which victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita may collect disaster unemployment benefits.
