As President George W. Bush looks on, Mike Leavitt is sworn into office as Secretary of Health and Human Services by Chief of Staff Andrew Card. With Mr. Leavitt are his wife, Jackie, and son, Westin. The ceremony took place in the Great Hall at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
