President George W. Bush salutes guests attending a pre-inaugural event honoring the men and women of the U.S. military at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C., Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005. Fourteen thousand guests attended the event, including 7,000 military service members, wounded soldiers from Walter Reed Army Medical Center, families of fallen soldiers and Congressional Medal of Honor winners.
