Afghan City Improves Roads
Fact of the Day

Improvements to two major routes in the Afghan city of Ghazni - Hospital Road and Bus Station Road - are under way to help this city between Kandahar and Kabul regain its importance as a commerce and cultural center. The Ghazni Hospital is the only major health center in this part of the country. Bus Station Road intersects with Afghanistan's main transportation artery. The road allows local producers to get their goods to markets and helps the expansion of area retail markets and services. The United States funded the rehabilitation of these roads.
