Iraqis Have Full Control of Their Oil

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil is now under the full control of the Interim Iraq Government. During a tour of the al-Doura oil refinery, Iraqi Prime Minister Allawi said to employees, "In the past, Iraqi oil was used in building palaces, buying weapons to achieve one person's goals. Today the most important natural resource has been returned to Iraqis, to serve all Iraqis." The transition of this important ministry is another important step toward Iraqi sovereignty.
