Iraq Fact of the Day

The Ministry of Transportation is the 13th ministry to be turned over to Iraqi leadership. The Ministry has organized regularly scheduled ferry service between Iraq and Dubai and rail services to bring important commodities from Turkey and other neighboring countries. Plans are under way to expand passenger and freight rail within Iraq. The Transportation Ministry is the latest example of Iraqis overseeing their own essential services.
