From remarks by Secretary of State Powell with NBC and CNN, Berlin, Germany, 4/29/04
The world is coming to realize that no one can take a bye on the war on terrorism.
Every civilized nation is at risk, whether it is Spain or Germany or Saudi Arabia or Indonesia.
We are all at risk and we all have to come together. There is greater cooperation between the nations of the world with respect to intelligence information exchange.
We are working together to pursue terrorists, their financing, and the means by which they travel around the world.
This is a time for the world to stick together to help the Iraqi people and not let thugs take Iraq back.
We have removed the dictator and have destroyed an evil regime. Mass graves are a thing of the past.
This is the time to defeat these terrorists and put in place a nation that rests on the foundation of law, democracy, and liberty.
