Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual and appoint four individuals to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Pamela M. Iovino, of the District of Columbia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Veterans Affairs (Congressional Affairs). Ms. Iovino currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to this position, she served as a Reserve Liaison Officer for Naval Network Operations Command. Ms. Iovino previously served as a Commanding Officer for the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College and her master's degree from the Naval War College.
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the Board of Visitors to the United States Air Force Academy, for a three-year term expiring December 30, 2006:
Dionel E. Aviles of Texas
Susan C. Schwab of Maryland
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the Board of Visitors to the United States Military Academy, for a three-year term expiring December 30, 2006:
J.C. Watts, Jr. of Oklahoma
David Horton Wilkins of South Carolina
