Personnel Announcement

January 29, 2004

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate three individuals to serve in his administration:

The President intends to nominate Sue Ellen Wooldridge, of Virginia, to be Solicitor of the Department of the Interior. Ms. Wooldridge currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff and Counselor to the Secretary at the United States Department of the Interior. Previously, she served as General Counsel to the California Fair Political Practices Commission. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Davis, and her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

The President intends to nominate Isaac Fulwood, Jr., of the District of Columbia, to be a Commissioner of the United States Parole Commission, for a term of six years. Currently, Mr. Fulwood serves as an adjunct professor at the University of the District of Columbia. He previously served in multiple positions at the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, including Chief of Police, Director of the Office of Finance and Management, and Sergeant.

The President intends to nominate Maria Otero, of the District of Columbia, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the United States Institute of Peace, for the remainder of a four-year term expiring January 19, 2007.
