Fulbright Program Provides Opportunities for 25 Iraqis
Iraq Fact of the Day

For the first time in 14 years, Iraqis are participating in the Fulbright Program. This group of 19 men and 6 women representing all major ethnic and religious communities in Iraq was chosen from 379 applicants. The students, who arrive in the United States later this week, will study in Masters programs or conduct research in public administration, public health, business, journalism, law and teaching. The arrival of these scholars is a milestone for Iraq - it signifies the revival of the Iraqi education system and the resumption of international opportunities for Iraq's students.
