Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Edward McPherson, of Texas, to be Under Secretary of Education. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Previously, Mr. McPherson served as President of InterSolve Group, a company he founded in 1989. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for SunAmerica Corporation and for the First Republic Bank Corporation. Mr. McPherson served as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1968 until 1971. He is a graduate of Williams College, and earned his master's degree from The George Washington University.
