President George W. Bush Today Announced His Intention to Nominate Jackson
Mcdonald to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United
States of America to the Republic of Gambia. a Career Member of the

Foreign Service, he is currently the Deputy Chief of Mission in Abidjan. His past overseas assignments include Charge d?Affairs in Monrovia, Principal Officer in Marseille, Deputy Chief of Mission and Political/Economic Officer in Almaty and Political Officer in Moscow, Paris and Beirut.  McDonald also served in Washington, D.C., as political officer in the Office of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh Affairs.  He is a graduate of Georgetown University.
