President Bush to Nominate Price to be Ambassador of the United
States to the Republic of Mauritius
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate John Price to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Mauritius.
"John Price is a proven business leader and committed member of his community. He will be an outstanding representative of the United States in the Republic of Mauritius," said President Bush.
Mr. Price is currently the Chairman and CEO of JP Realty Incorporated in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is the Director of the Executive Committee of Alta Industries. He is a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Utah School of Business and a Member of the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution. Price was a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Utah from 1992 to 1999 and serves as Chairman of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a March of Dimes Advisory Board Member, and a Member of the Utah Council on Housing and Land Use. He serves as Chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, the Governor's Committee for Employment of the Handicapped, and the Cerebral Palsy Telethon. Mr. Price is a graduate of the University of Utah.
