President Bush to Nominate Farish as Ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland

President George W. Bush today announced his intent to nominate William S. Farish to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

"The special relationship that the United States shares with Great Britain will be further strengthened with Will Farish as my representative. Will understands the important place that Britain holds for the United States as a trusted ally and key trading partner. I have full confidence that he will serve our country well," said President Bush.

Mr. Farish is currently the owner of Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky and is the President of W.S. Farish & Company in Houston, Texas. A native of Houston, he attended the University of Virginia.
