White House Conferences on Faith-Based and Community Initiatives
OFBCI has hosted a series of regional conferences on President Bush's Initiative in cities across the country. Over 25,000 faith-based and community leaders have already attended.

Training for Grassroots Faith-Based & Community Organizations
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is holding a series of workshops around the country. These workshops help grassroots organizations with grant writing and capacity building. For a schedule of upcoming workshops, click here and follow the Grassroots Training link.

Upcoming Supplemental Educational Services Workshops
Supplemental Services provide extra academic help for low-income students in low performing schools. The workshops are free but require pre-registration. Click here for more information.

Housing and Community Development Seminars, Workshops, Conferences
The Department of Housing and Urban Development is conducting FREE, two-day, intensive Grant Writing Training Workshops for Faith-Based & Community-Based Organizations to teach them how to secure Federal funding. The sessions include Organizational Development, Legal Do's & Don'ts, Five Factor's for Awards, The Art & Science of Grant Writing, as well as a sample YouthBuild Application. Office of Justice Programs Technical Assistance Opportunities
The Office of Justice Programs at the Department of Justice offers a range of technical assistance options for organizations involved in community-based crime prevention and which serve young offenders, ex-offenders, and victims of crime. Click here for more details.

Online Technical Assistance for Supplemental Educational Services
In an effort to provide technical assistance to faith-based and community organizations, the Office of Innovation and Improvement and the Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives have produced a webcast that is intended to help faith-based and community organizations apply to become approved providers of supplemental services.
