As America makes progress in the war on terror, our armed forces fight bravely to uphold universal values of freedom. From military academies and training grounds, to the front lines of battle, the men and women of America's services face danger with resolve and strength of character.

In these times of conflict, America honors all veterans who have fought before us, and those who currently battle by air, land and sea. Through photographs that capture the heart and will of our armed forces, we say thank you to those who serve.
