          Vice President's Visit to Lithuania

Vice President Dick Cheney and Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko hold a breakfast meeting, Thursday, May 4, 2006 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Both leaders have come to Vilnius to participate in the Vilnius Conference 2006, a summit of leaders of the Baltic and Black Sea regions. During a statement to the press the Vice President said, "Developments in Ukraine are extraordinarily important, and all of us who support the development of freedom and democracy have been impressed with what our friends in Ukraine have achieved and want to do everything we can to be of assistance in the days ahead."
