Vice President Dick Cheney stands with Susan Ford Bales, daughter of former President Gerald R. Ford, while the U.S. national anthem is played during the naming ceremony for the new U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007. The nuclear-powered vessel will go into service in 7-8 years and will be the first in the new Gerald R. Ford class of aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy.
