	Department of State is the cabinet-level agency responsible for the nation's foreign affairs, under the leadership of Secretary Colin L. Powell. Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, Division of Emerging Infectious Diseases - assists the State Department in addressing the global epidemic

	The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is the Federal government's lead agency for providing HIV prevention and care in other countries.
