  2. BILL TITLE: Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act

  3. BILL PURPOSE: Authorizes appropriations for programs and activities to improve the Nation's public health preparedness and response capability to combat bioterrorism.

  4. OMB ESTIMATE: P.L. 107-188 makes minor changes to the Medicare program including allowing Medicare to pay out-of-network providers for services delivered to Medicare+Choice enrollees in the event of an emergency. Emergencies include certain natural disasters and other public health emergencies.
