EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS

WHAT DOES THE EFFECTIVE RATING MEAN?

The program rating indicates how well a program is performing, so the public can see how effectively tax dollars are being spent.

The Effective rating is the highest rating a program can achieve. Programs rated Effective set ambitious goals, achieve results, are well-managed and improve efficiency. Effective programs are categorized as Performing on ExpectMore.gov.

Based on our most recent assessments, 15% of Federal programs are Effective.
