Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today nominated three individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President nominated Gregory B. Jaczko, of the District of Columbia, to be a Member of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for an additional five-year term. Mr. Jaczko currently serves as Commissioner of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Prior to this, he served as Appropriations Director for Senator Harry Reid. Earlier in his career, he served as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Mr. Jaczko received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The President nominated Hector E. Morales, of Texas, to be Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the Organization of American States (with the rank of Ambassador). Mr. Morales currently serves as Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank and also serves on the board of the Inter-American Foundation. Prior to this, he served as Alternate Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Vice President of Viamericas Corporation. Mr. Morales received his bachelor's degree from Columbia University and his JD from the University of Texas School of Law.

The President nominated John J. Sullivan, of Maryland, to be Deputy Secretary of Commerce. Mr. Sullivan currently serves as General Counsel at the Department of Commerce. Prior to this, he served as Deputy General Counsel at the Department of Defense. Earlier in his career, he was as a Partner at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP. Mr. Sullivan received his bachelor's degree from Brown University and his JD from Columbia University.
