Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced that he has named four individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President has named Terri Teuber Moore to be Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Communications for Policy and Planning. Ms. Moore recently served as Director of Communications and Senior Adviser to the Secretary at the Department of Agriculture. Prior to this, she served as Director of Communications in the Office of the Governor of Nebraska. Earlier in her career, she served as Public Information Coordinator for the Nebraska State Patrol. Ms. Moore received her bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas.

The President has named Luke R. Frans to be Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Political Affairs. Mr. Frans recently served as White House Liaison at the Department of Transportation. He received his bachelor's degree from Bob Jones University.

The President has named Robert P. Kadlec to be Special Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Senior Director for Biological Defense Policy. Dr. Kadlec previously served as Director for Biodefense and Public Health for PRTM Management Consultants. He received his bachelor's degree from the United States Air Force Academy, a master's degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University and his MD from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

The President has named Marie O'Neill Sciarrone to be Special Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Senior Director for Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Policy. Ms. Sciarrone recently served as Director of Protection and Information Sharing Policy on the Homeland Security Council staff. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
