Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced that he has named two individuals to serve in Administration.

The President has named Joel A. Scanlon to be Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Initiatives. Mr. Scanlon recently served as an Associate Director in the White House Office of Strategic Initiatives. Prior to this, he served as a Research Assistant to Charles Krauthammer. Mr. Scanlon received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his master's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

The President has named Dianna Campagna to be Special Assistant to the President and Executive Secretary for the Office of the Counsel to the President. Ms. Campagna recently served as Director of Operations and Programs at the National Legal Center for the Public Interest.
