President George W. Bush today named Joie A. Gregor as Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel. Joie is currently Vice Chairman of Heidrick & Struggles, a top global executive search firm, and has more than 20 years of experience in executive search and succession planning. An expert in building global leadership teams, Joie has extensive experience in recruiting board members, chief executive officers, and chief operating officers for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to her work in search, Joie was with IBM, where she held a variety of senior management positions.

"Joie is one of the Nation's top executive recruiters. Her considerable experience will be an asset to my Administration, and I am pleased that Joie is joining the White House team," President Bush said.

Joie earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.A. from Case Western Reserve University, where she serves as a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Joie was also an IBM Sloan Fellow at Stanford University, where she received an M.S. in Management.
