Mrs. Bush's Remarks at the Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School Graduation
Mrs. Laura Bush delivers the commencement address at the sixth grade graduation ceremony of the Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School Friday, June 15, 2007, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Washington, D.C. "Today is the time to think back on all of the lessons you've learned at Stokes School -- but it's also a time to look ahead," said Mrs. Bush. "You may be nervous about leaving such a close-knit environment, and moving on to bigger schools. But remember that you've succeeded at Stokes School because you upheld three important rules: I will take care of myself, I will take care of others, and I will take care of my community."
