Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate David H. McCormick, of Pennsylvania, to be Under Secretary of the Treasury (International Affairs). Dr. McCormick currently serves as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs. Prior to this, he served as Under Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration at the United States Department of Commerce. Earlier in his career, he served as President and CEO of FreeMarkets and President of Ariba. He is a former Army officer and veteran of the first Gulf War. Dr. McCormick received his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy. He received his master's degree and PhD from Princeton University.
