President Bush Signs H.R. 486, H.R. 4588, H.R. 6060, and H.R. 6345.

On Thursday, January 11, 2007, the President has signed into law:

H.R. 486, the "Holloman Air Force Base Land Exchange Act," which directs the Secretary of the Interior to exchange approximately 320 acres of Federal land for approximately 241 acres of private land in the State of New Mexico;

H.R. 4588, the "Water Resources Research Act Amendments of 2006," which reauthorizes grants for the water resources research and technology institutes established under the Water Resources Research Act of 1984;

H.R. 6060, the "Department of State Authorities Act of 2006," which provides a number of authorities for the Department of State including authorities related to visa fraud prevention, passport fees, and proliferation interdiction and interdiction assistance; and

H.R. 6345, which expands discretion of Federal banking agencies with respect to frequency of examinations of certain insured depository institutions.
