Mrs. Bush's Remarks During a Visit to the Children's National Medical Center
Children's National Medical Center
Washington, D.C.

Holidays at the White House 2006

12:31 P.M. EST

MRS. BUSH: Well, I want to thank everybody, too, before we start to sing. I want to thank my patient escorts that were very patient with me. Thank you all very much for being with me. And I want to wish everyone a very, very merry Christmas. Thank you all. I look forward every year to coming to the National Children's Hospital on Christmas. This is a tradition, you might not know, but was started way back when Jackie Kennedy was First Lady, and the first ladies have visited this hospital every Christmas. And it's something I really look forward to. So very best wishes for a happy Christmas. And Frosty, thanks for coming to be with me today.

END 12:32 P.M. EST
