Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced that he has named five individuals to serve in his Administration:

The President has named Kevin J. Bergner as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Iraq. Brigadier General Bergner recently served as Deputy Director of Political-Military Affairs (Middle East) at the Department of Defense. He received his bachelor's degree from Trinity University and his master's degree from City University of New York.

The President has named J. Scott Jennings as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Political Affairs. Mr. Jennings recently served as Associate Director in the Office of Political Affairs at the White House. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville.

The President has named Jeffrey F. Kupfer as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy. Mr. Kupfer recently served as Executive Director of the President's Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform. He received his bachelor's degree from Yale College and his JD from Harvard Law School.

The President has named Elisabeth Millard as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for South and Central Asian Affairs. Ms. Millard recently served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Kathmandu. She received her bachelor's degree from the London School of Economics and her master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

The President has named Luis A. Reyes as Special Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel. Mr. Reyes recently served as Chief of Staff to the Associate Attorney General and Deputy Associate Attorney General at the Department of Justice. He received his bachelor's degree and JD from the University of Texas.
