President Condemns Terrorist Attacks in Sharm el Sheikh Egypt

The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms the barbaric terrorist attacks in Sharm el Sheikh Egypt that killed and injured scores of innocent civilians from many nations and religious faiths. We offer our prayers for the victims and their families and join the international community in deeply deploring this assault on the civilized world. The President spoke with President Mubarak this morning and offered his personal condolences and the support of the American people. The United States stands firmly with the people of Egypt at this time of national mourning. The United States stands ready to assist the Government of Egypt in helping the victims and bringing the perpetrators of these acts to justice. Standing together with the rest of the civilized world, we will win the conflict against this global scourge.
