Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced the designation of one individual and his intention to designate one individual to serve in his administration:

The President designated Thomas V. Skinner, of Illinois, to be Acting Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (Enforcement and Compliance Assurance). Mr. Skinner currently serves as Regional Administrator of Region 5 at the Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, he also serves as Mayor and Village President of Lake Bluff, Illinois. Earlier in his career, Mr. Skinner served as a Member of the Executive Committee for the Environmental Council of the States and as Director of the Illinois Environment Protection Agency. He earned his bachelor's degree from Lawrence University and his J.D. from Northwestern University.

The President intends to designate David Garman, of Virginia, to be Acting Under Secretary of Energy.
