Statement by the Press Secretary
King of Jordan to Visit Washington

President Bush will welcome King Abdullah of Jordan to the White House on April 21, 2004. The President looks forward to discussing bilateral and regional issues with the King, including Jordan's economic development, the global campaign against terrorism, the situation in Iraq, and the search for peace in the Middle East.

As announced today, the President will also be meeting next month with President Hosny Mubarak of Egypt and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of Israel in a series of consultations that the President will be holding with key Middle East leaders.
