Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his administration:

The President intends to nominate Deborah Hersman, of Virginia, to be a Member of the National Transportation Safety Board, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring December 31, 2008. Ms. Hersman currently works on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. Prior to this position, she served as Staff Director and Senior Legislative Aide for Congressman Bob Wise. Ms. Hersman earned her bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and her master's degree from George Mason University.
