Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced the appointment of Matthew Kirk as Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs - Senate. Mr. Kirk will fill the position held by Ziad Ojakli who will be leaving the White House for the private sector.

Mr. Kirk currently serves as a Special Assistant to the President in the Office of Legislative Affairs - Senate. Prior to this position, he spent over six years working in the Senate Republican leadership. Mr. Kirk earned his bachelor's degree from the James Madison School of Political Science at Michigan State University.
