President Signs Farm Bill
Accompanied by Congress members, President George W. Bush signs the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 in the Dwight D. Eisenhowser Executive Office Building May 13. "This bill is generous, and will provide a safety net for farmers. And it will do so without encouraging overproduction and depressing prices. It will allow farmers and ranchers to plan and operate based on market realities, not government dictates," said the President. White House photo by Eric Draper.
