Mrs. Bush's Remarks for the National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal Ceremony
As Delivered

We close tonight's award ceremony with a performance by one of our very distinguished honorees, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, who will be accompanied on piano by one of our very distinguished colleagues, Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

They will play the Adagio movement from Brahms Sonata for Violin and Piano in D Minor, Opus 108. They will play it as a prayer for peace.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Yo-Yo Ma and Dr. Condoleezza Rice.
