Statement by the Press Secretary

On Tuesday, February 12, 2002, the President signed into law:

H.R. 700, which reauthorizes appropriations for the Asian Elephant Conservation Fund through FY 2007, and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation through FY 2005;

H.R. 1937, which authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to conduct three feasibility studies of water resource projects in Washington State.
