Nomination and Designations
President Bush to Nominate One Individual and Designate Three Individuals to Serve in His Administration
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual and his intention to designate three individuals to serve in his administration.
The President intends to nominate Anthony Lowe to be Federal Insurance Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Lowe is presently the Senior Legislative Counsel for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition and Business Rights. Before joining the Subcommittee in 1997, Lowe was a Deputy Prosecutor with the King County Prosecutor's Office in Seattle, Washington. In 1991, Lowe was an Associate Director at the International Center for Economic Growth and International Center for Self-Governance programs of the Institute of Contemporary Studies. From 1988 to 1990, Lowe was a Legislative Assistant to Senator Slade Gorton. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Santa Clara Law School.
