President to Welcome Prime Minister of India
Statement by the Press Secretary
Visit by Prime Minister Vajpayee of India

    President Bush will welcome Prime Minister Vajpayee to Washington for an official working visit on November 9.  The visit is an important opportunity to reaffirm the United States' interest in building a broad-based partnership with India and to promote closer cooperation on a range of security and economic issues that advance common objectives. President Bush looks forward to discussing ways to strengthen the anti-terrorism campaign and to foster regional stability in South Asia.
