The 18-foot Noble fir is visible from the Cross Hall. This year's Official White House Christmas tree was donated by John and Carol Tillman from Rochester, Washington. More than 40 Christmas trees make up this years collection. Snow covered trees with white lights deck the Cross Hall.
The Gingerbread House sits on a buffet in the State Dining Room. This year's Gingerbread House is made from 100 pounds of gingerbread and 150 pounds of chocolate. The roof of the White House Gingerbread House is adorned with Santa Claus, his sleigh, and a trio of instruments. The American Flag sits prominently on the roof.
Singing carolers stand in front of the 2004 Gingerbread House and celebrate this year's theme, "A Season of Merriment and Melody". Edible presents and decorations surround the 2004 Gingerbread House that sits in the State Dining Room.
Ornaments adorn the 2004 Blue Room Christmas tree. Christmas ornaments adorn over 40 Christmas trees in the White House this Holiday season.
Over 350 instrument ornaments hang on the 2004 Blue Room Christmas tree along with almost 400 Christmas balls. The Official 2004 Christmas tree stands in the center of the Blue Room. The Christmas tree this year is an 18-foot Noble fir. The tree was donated by John and Carol Tillman of Rochester, Wash.
