Initiated by Brazilian journalist Gilberto Dimenstein, Projeto Aprendiz assists at-risk youth through educational, sports, cultural and job opportunities within their own neighborhood. Developing the concept of the neighborhood as a school, the program supplements school education with a wide range of community-based activities.
