American Heart Association Valentine Luncheon and Fashion Show

On January 31, 2003, Laura Bush was the honored guest at the 2003 American Heart Association Valentine Luncheon and Fashion Show. Mrs. Bush urged all women to learn about the risks of the number one killer of women--heart disease. Mrs. Bush also encouraged all women to make their health a priority and to work toward a healthy lifestyle -- one that balances exercise, healthy eating, and preventive health care and screenings.

Hosted by the Women’s Board of the American Heart Association's National Capitol Area Council, this event has helped contribute more than $3 million toward vital research and community education for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
