The National Book Festival

The purpose of the National Book Festival is to encourage Americans to develop a lifelong love of reading. The Festival, which is free and open to the public, is made possible by generous sponsors.

The Festival includes readings and book signings by award winning authors and illustrators of books for both adults and children. Additional activities include musical performances, storytelling, and exhibitions from reading promotion organizations and the Library of Congress.
