Clean Air

President George W. Bush discusses his Clear Skies Initiative in the East Garden Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003. The initiative mandates a 70 percent cut in air pollution from power plants over the next 15 years, including the first-ever national cap on mercury emissions. President George W. Bush speaks during a visit to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Feb. 14. "America and the world share this common goal: we must foster economic growth in ways that protect our environment," said the President as he announced new initiatives to foster economic growth while protecting the environment.
